SONG OF THE DAY Matthew Halsall & The Gondwana Orchestra (feat Josephine Oniyama)- As I Walk

Thank you Matthew Halsall and The Gondwana Orchestra for helping me to restore some much-needed calmness and peace into my day, this is just what I needed….

A highly acclaimed DJ, band leader, composer and Trumpeter, Matthew Halsall has attracted worldwide attention with his mix of soulful, spiritual jazz.

The Manchester based musician is one of the UK’s brightest talents and his beautiful, expressive tone draws on his love of the transcendental, spiritual and modal jazz of Alice and John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders, as well as the glories of ’60s British jazz.

Taken from Matthew Halsall’s forthcoming album ‘Into Forever’ , comes today’s song which is titled ‘As I Walk’, and features the soulful vocals of English singer-songwriter Josephine Oniyama.

‘Into Forever’ is due out this October on the Gondwana label.
