SONG OF THE DAY The Mystery Lights – Too Tough To Bear

I have just discovered an exciting and interesting new label that just so happens to be a part of the great Daptone Records but, unlike it’s soul counterpart, Wick Records is geared towards the modern rock scene!

Wick Records very first release, which was recorded at Daptone’s own studios House of Soul, features a young Brooklyn-based 4-piece The Mystery Lights who are currently dominating the NOW sound in Rock N’ Roll.

This young garage-rock outfit consists of members Mike Brandon on guitar/vocals, Nick Pillot on drums, Alex Amini on bass and Kevin Harris on organ; and their sound is an authentic blend of psych-rock and garage-punk which feels like it has just been freshly plucked from the golden era of psychedelia, its electric!

The Mystery Lights new single, ‘Too Many Girls’ is the first release for Wick Records which is out now and can be found here

Today’s song is the second track from this release titled ‘Too Tough To Bear’ which you can listen to above.
