SONG OF THE DAY Hey Colossus – Hesitation Time

Despite its name, there’s definitely no hesitation going on in this song! It’s hits hard from the onset and packs a powerful punch with its heavy rock psych-riffs, pounding drums and colossal industrial rhythms.  Hey Colossus’ 10th album comes out today via Rocket Recordings, who proudly rates this new release as “their best ever album”.

The London/Somerset 6-piece only released their highly rated ‘In Black and Gold’ back in February but speedily created it’s follow up ‘Radio Static High’, which is now available from here

Guitarist Jonathan Richards said of the record: “Maybe the knowledge of our 12 years together makes us aware of our mortality. Time is limited. A band’s purpose is to create… after 12 years functioning in a Noiserock/Doom/Kraut/whatever scene of sorts and being aware of unwanted repetition, we feel it is more subversive for us to compose songs with rigid song structures than it is to absent mindedly clang off another riff-athon… everything is the same for us, but we might have just a little more vision and discipline.”

Taken from Radio Static High comes today’s track,  ‘Hesitation Time’ which you can listen to above.
