I just love this Oakland sound!….
Over the course of this year I have featured various Oakland-based artists including Guy Fox (check out my pages here and here ) and Bells Atlas. This bright and airy music is charged with a healthy blast of warm West Coast sunshine!
Adding to this list comes Meernaa, also Oakland-based and also sharing in this golden sound. According to their Soundcloud page they have been releasing music for at least four years with their most current offering, ‘Constant Love’, released only last month. Formed by Carly Bond, Rob Shelton of the now-inactive DRMS and Bond drummer Nik DeRyss, the trio are still experimenting with their style and sound while they work on writing their debut EP.
‘Constant Love ‘ is a tuneful, laid-back, blissful affair with an effortless feel and an elegant rhythm….the artwork is really rather attractive too! Listen above and download from here
