SONG OF THE DAY C.W Stoneking – The Zombie

Article Lead - wide624189161155ygimage.related.articleLeadwide.729x410.115uqs.png1413329330107.jpg-620x349What’s Halloween without an eerie and spooktastic tale of Zombies?

From the depths of Australia, in a music store called Record Paradise comes this tale of the undead, steady in pace, shifting slowly along bringing with it a feeling of gripping unease and fearful howls; it’s enough to give you the heebeegeebees as the shivers mount up and cascade down your spine.

Australian blues singer-songwiter, C.W Stoneking returned with his third studio album, ‘Gon’ Boogaloo’ in October last year after a six year break.  His latest release, heavily laden in swamp-blues and Calypso, came out via his own label King Hokum Records, and from this comes today’s ghostly, soulless song ‘The Zombie’, it’s frighteningly fantastic!…but not only that, the video is from an awesome live performance, aided by some pretty cool tuneful and atmosphere-enhancing backing vocalists! Listen above.

Remember tonight if you venture out: if you see something shuffling along with a vacant stare and the odd piece of flesh hanging off, keep your distance and if worse comes to worse, aim for the head…stay safe out there…
