Adrian Younge is back bringing with him a new forthcoming project titled ‘Something About April II.’ This LP will serve as a sequel to his 2011 album ‘Something About April,’ and sees the LA-based composer and music arranger return with a record packed full of psychedelic soul, dark grit and cinematic instrumentals with guests on the project to include Bilal, Raphael Saadiq, Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier and more.
Today’s song is titled ‘Hands of God’ and is one of just two tracks currently available from ‘Something About April II.’ Marked by its swing rhythm and more recently remixed by RZA for his latest release ‘Twelve Reasons To Die II,’ (read more about this version here) it’s easy to see why Younge’s enterprising work and ability to create new sounds has been likened the Beatles whilst musically his music has been compared to that of Ennio Morricone.
