SONG OF THE DAY The Last Shadow Puppets – Bad Habits

2015LastShadowPuppets_GettyImages-91143005_master171115.article_x4I’ve always been partial to a bit of the Arctic Monkeys over the years, so when Alex Turner and Miles Kane (ex The Rascals) came together back in 2008 to release ‘The Age of the Understatement’ as The Last Shadow Puppets I was only too happy to give it a listen.

The album was released via Domino and scored a UK number one with first single ‘The Age of the Understatement’ featuring new song ‘Two Hearts in Two Weeks’ and the covers of Billy Fury’s ‘Wondrous Place’ and David Bowie’s ‘In the Heat of the Morning’ (as mentioned by Turner as a favourite) as b-sides.

It’s taken nearly 8 years for the Puppets to release a follow-up album but there are possibilities for a second LP on the horizon, with a vague release date of spring being the only clue to its launch so far.  In the meantime the duo have released lead single, ‘Bad Habits’ which you can listen to above…see what you think?
