SONG OF THE DAY The Vryll Society – The Egg

Press-Shot-e1445714436462Signed to Liverpool’s very great Deltasonic Records (the label behind The Zutons and The Coral), this rocking five piece know just how to groove!

The Vryll Society have a sound that resides in an era I have more than enough time for, their 60’s infused style having been described as a place where ‘rock meets electronic realms of Krautrock.’  Their music is fuelled with enough psychedelic vibes to fire you to the moon and back, via a few hazy kaleidoscopic dimensions; this sure is stimulating stuff for your mind, your body and your soul!

‘The Egg’ is a swirly dream of soft beats, windswept howls and tuneful vocals, I find it hard not to drift off when I listen to this in my headphones, so I go with it and let it wash over me until I’m totally submerged.  This is a song for escaping, press play and a silken world of lush melodies and warm flowing rhythms will open up before you, there is nothing else you need to know, just go!..Listen above.

Today’s song is taken from The Vryll Society’s Pangea EP which came out last October.  Listen to more of this here and grab your copy here.

Check out the bands Facebook page for their April tour dates too!!..oh, just one more thing, I can’t resist linking you to their first single ‘Deep Blue Skies,’ it’s a trip not to be missed, yum!..enjoy!!
