SONG OF THE DAY Hanni El Khatib – Come Down

A couple of days ago indie rocker Hanni El Khatib tweeted a “NEW SONG ALERT” stating  “here’s another new song for these Savage Times we’re living in.”  

Latest submission ‘Come Down’ is another fine example of the multi instrumentalist’s unique ability to combine funky rhythms, bluesy riffs with good old rock’n’roll; it firmly rooted itself into my head the first time I heard it!

With an instantly catchy melody this great track revolves around the deliciously infectious and somewhat defiant hook lines, “If God’s gon’ come down, he better come now, If he ain’t gon’ come, I’m gon’ do what I want/ If God’s gon’ come down, She better come now, If she ain’t gon’ come, I’m gon’ do what I want” ( Hanni has clearly considered every angle with the alternate he/she reference!)  Check it out above.
