I’ve got so much time for the music of Henry Canyons and, no stranger to the Listening Post Blog, have featured him several times in the past. Tracing his progress since the first release of his debut ‘Canyonland’ in June last year, it’s great to see the weight of proper distribution behind the re-release of this great album.
Today’s soul-kissed, jazzy number appears on Canyonland and features the sleek vocals of Zoe Rose (see other featured tracks here and here) and the snazzy backing saxophone of Jon Ramm. Basking in a sun-drenched vibe and bobbing along on a fluid beat, this laid-back fusion of jazz and hip hop is led by the lyrically vibrant, smooth-sounding and oh-so-easy-to-listen-to, Henry Canyons.
