I was possibly a bit too young to appreciate this track when it was originally released but am revelling in its gloriousness now!
Yell-O-Yell were a Post-Punk, Darkwave band that formed in 1982 in Athens, Greece and were the first group signed to the legendary Creep Records.
Today’s song features on their 1984 ‘Hello, Hell’ album and I can’t help but think of the Von Bondies and Amazing Snakeheads when I listen to ‘Ex!’ It’s delectably dark, incredibly bass-y and fantastically brazen; I am enjoying this song so much right now! Listen above.
