SONG OF THE DAY Iles – The Unknown Gnome

0004796653_10When music instantly grabs your attention there is no better feeling than being sucked into its tuneful vacuum.  The music of Iles did just that in May last year with the release of his album, ‘Apartments’.

Tristan Johnston (aka Iles – pronounced Giles without the ‘G’) is a LA-based songwriter who creates his very own melodic, dulcet sounds with a delicate lo fi, Indie edge.  His sound is defined by the gentle manner in which his loosely structured songs come together, light and airy with infectious melodies that unassumingly floats into the ear.

Six years in the making, ‘Apartments’ was Iles’ debut album and was released last May via Forged Artifacts.  Taken from this album comes today’s mysteriously titled song, ‘The Unknown Gnome,’ a splendidly delicate little track which you can check out above.  If you like the sound of this you can listen/purchase the whole of the album here.
