SONG OF THE DAY Hidden Charms – I Don’t Mind

hidden-charmsToday is the day I have been eagerly awaiting, Hidden Charms have released their new EP, ‘Harder From Here’ which releases via Deltasonic Records (The Coral, The Vryll Society).

The London 4-piece first grabbed my attention last November and in the last year alone the band have gathered quite a following; already playing with the likes of Benjamin Booker, Hanni El Khatib, X Ambassadors and YAK over the last 18 months alongside a four-week Club NME Koko residency.

Combining classic 60’s garage-psych influences with the rawness of early blues, Hidden Charms have concocted their own blend of modern rock and classic nostalgia, and it works so god damn well!

Taken from their new EP comes the smouldering, heavy-hearted, ‘I Don’t Mind’ where, at times I can almost detect hints of John Lennon coursing through the vocals whilst snarling guitars howl as if in response to the anguished lyrics, this song is on fire! Listen above and most definitely check out the whole EP, which you can also order as a signed 12″ by clicking on the image to your right:12inch_sleeve_3mm_spine_Hoxton_Vinyl
