SONG OF THE DAY Freddie Joachim – Lately

WySCgIWoEarlier this year I stumbled upon the brilliantly big beats of producer, DJ and recording artist, Freddie Joachim (Jo-ah-kim).

A lifelong fan on hip hop, jazz and soul music, Freddie began djing in the mid 90’s and over the years has developed his skills in recording and production; producing music that has featured artists including the likes of J.Cole, Aloe Blacc, Blu, Grap Luva, LMNO and Keve Brown, as well as having his music mentioned by Erykah Badu, Phonte, Slum Village and more.

Releasing via his own label Mellow Orange, Freddie has just shared brand new track, ‘Lately,’ which really hits you with its fresh-feeling, inspiriting melody and waves of revitalising big beats.  Listen above.

Check out Freddie’s webpage here and be sure to have a listen to the very great ‘Good Man’ on my page here.
