SONG OF THE DAY Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster – Psychosis Safari

TheEightiesMatchboxBLineDisaster2012promophotoThrashHitsTis the season to indulge, so indulge I have, in lots of great music… Today I dug out two of my all time favourite albums, switched them up to full volume and enjoyed them every bit as much today as I did when they first came out over ten years ago; I never tire of these no matter!

Brighton band The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster came together in 1999, releasing their first two in albums in 2002 and 2004, and if you play Horse Of The Dog and The Royal Society today, I don’t think you can tell these were over a decade old.  Both albums maintain a firm position in my all-time top 10 album list and I still think it’s a crying shame that the band has now split!

Psychosis Safari featured on The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster’s debut album, Horse of the Dog which was released on No Death/Island Universal Records in 2003.  It was the third single from the album, reaching number 26 in the charts and also featured on the soundtrack for the video game Gran Turismo 4…and what’s more, it’s just the kind of madness I was looking for today!  Listen (at full volume) above!
