omni-wireToday my attention was instantly grabbed by the delightful sounds of Atlanta’s rock outfit, Omni, whose debut album releases this July.

The group features former Deerhunter/Balkans guitarist Frankie Broyles and ex-Carnivores members Philip Frobos and Billy Mitchell and if their two first singles Afterlife and Wire are anything to go by, Deluxe looks set to be a promising first release.  

Today’s song is second single, Wire, which is a track I knew I’d like from the first few seconds with its classic late 70’s post-punk sound.  Releasing via Chicago’s Trouble In Mind Records  you can check out first single Afterlife here .  Listen above.
