This was the first Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings track I ever heard many moons ago, my friend recorded it for me on a compilation and I loved it instantly. I was lucky enough to go see them live that year and they were immense!
I’ve been digging out some older Dap-Kings stuff recently, paying homage to some of their earlier material and had to share this today, not only was this the first song to open my ears to their supersonic sound, but it holds some good memories too.
Taken from their second album, Naturally which was released in 2005 on Daptone Records, comes the superb, How Do I Let a Good Man Down? R.I.P Sharon Jones, your music is awesome!
