SONG OF THE DAY Shakey Graves – Nobody’s Fool

Alejandro Rose-Garcia, aka Shakey Graves, has been sharing his glorious blues-folk and rock’n’roll sounds ever since 2011.  Well-known for starting out as a one-man band, Shakey now shares the stage with other musicians, but his creations are still his own and his smooth Americana as unique as ever.

Currently, Shakey Graves has been in the studio working on songs for a new LP (release date has yet to be announced), which will follow his 2014 breakout full-length album, And The War Came.

Meanwhile, another treat awaits and this comes in the form of two EP’s from his collection of rarities and early home recordings, which arrives after ten years of determined fan requests for their official release!  The EP’s will become available as a package set titled, Shakey Graves And The Horse He Rode In On (Nobody’s Fool & The Donor Blues EP) and will come out on June 30th via Dueltone Records.

Taken from this forthcoming release comes the deliciously daydreamy delights of Nobody’s Fool, which is currently on its 5th play (and continued play) after I heard it for the first time an hour ago!  Effective in its slow-paced simplicity, this song shuffles along to the tranquil plucks of a delicate guitar melody and lulling vocals, gracefully looping its way into your head… and I am more than happy to let it stay there for as long as it likes! Listen above.

Pre-order your copy of Shakey Graves And The Horse He Rode In On (Nobody’s Fool & The Donor Blues EP) from his Bandcamp page here.
