SONG OF THE DAY Patsy with Lynn Tait & The Jets – A man Is Two Faced

This little gem has been kicking about in my long list of song of the day possibilities for a while now and I don’t know why I haven’t used this sooner, it’s great!

This lively little brass-infused number was released in 1968 by Patsy with Lynn Tait & The Jets on UK Doctor Bird label.  During the 60’s Jamaican records were issued in the UK on a variety of independent record labels and Doctor Bird was one of these.  Originally founded in 1965 by Graeme Goodall, Doctor Bird went on to release nearly 400 Rocksteady and Reggae 45’s between 1966 and 1969.

A Man Is Two Faced was released as a single and was the b-side to a track called Pure Soul, which was performed by Lennie Hibbert, Lynn Tait and Count Ossis Drums
