I Can’t Love You Anymore is the first single from New York soul sensation, Carlton Jumel Smith who recorded this track with Cold Diamond & Mink. Otherwise known simply as Carlton J. Smith, there’s no doubt this r&b artist was destined for a life in soul after seeing James Brown live at the Apollo Theatre as an 8-year old.
Smith’s Timmion debut single is shaped by its rhythm-based, southern flavoured deep soul and backing him up on the falsetto parts is Pratt (of soul duo Pratt & Moody), who recently turned some heads with his Pratt & Moody release Lost Lost Lost on Timmion’s sub label, Stylart Records.
Accompanied by an instrumental version on the flip side, this single will be available to buy on the 9th February and can be pre-ordered from here.
