SONG OF THE DAY Comfort – Pass Me The Syrup

Comfort are a Brighton-based alternative outfit founded in 2017 whose second single, Pass Me the Syrup certainly lives up to its ‘sticky’ name; it’s firmly stuck in my head!

The band consists of three childhood friends, Brendan Lyle, Jake Brown and James Redfern and their mission is to make music that “holds familiarity yet feels distant to their listeners” whilst “capturing your soul and making it groove”.

Blending alternative rock, funk and pop the band have captured a unique and eclectic sound in their music and this really shines through in Pass Me the Syrup.  Releasing their debut self-titled single last month, today’s new track follows hot in its footsteps and shifts up the pace a little with a more upbeat feel.  Check it out above and discover more on the band’s website here.
