SONG OF THE DAY CADE – Fruit Fly

The biggest challenge writing today’s post was deciding which song to pick from CADE’s debut album which releases today on Mirfield, UK’s Fox Food Records.

No stranger to the LP Blog (read more here), I would describe the Toronto singer-songwiter as a siren whose spellbinding music both enchants and bewitches.  Her haunting, dream-folk compositions are delivered though ethereal vocals amidst a backdrop of acoustic instruments and synthetic sounds; seamless and gentle, yet notably powerful.

CADE’s eponymous debut is truly exquisite from start to finish and a highly recommended listen!  Recorded at Toronto West Sound, Carl Lennox Studio and The Trailer & at Kaiya’s home, CADE is now available on Limited Edition Cassette alongside a ‘name your price’ digital download.  Listen more and grab yourself a copy from here.
