SONG OF THE DAY The Stooges – Dirt

Fun House is the superb second Stooges album released in July 1970 by Elektra Records.

The record was produced by the former Kingsmen keyboardist Don Gallucci who was drafted in for the job by Elektra’s Jac Holzman.  This intervention proved to be crucial to the success of the album and although it was initially commercially unsuccessful, Fun House soon gained a strong cult following and is said to have influenced the development of punk and  rock.

Album track Dirt sizzles with slow-burning sleaziness and stretches over a sensational seven minutes with a snarl…so nice!! Check out above.
