SONG OF THE DAY Little Barrie – Surf Hell

Little Barrie have a special place in my heart and although it took me a while to discover them, I more than made up for the late start!

Emerging from Nottingham in 1999 they have been cooking up their very own unique blend of surf-rock, blues and good old-fashioned psych-infused garage and feeding it to hungry psych fans such as me!!

It was a tragic shock when they announced the death of drummer, Virgil Howe last September and an immense loss to all who loved Little Barrie…so today, to dissipate the little cloud of melancholy that has found me and to remember a fantastic drummer, I present Surf Hell – taken from their 2012 King of the Waves album.
