SONG OF THE DAY Charles Bradley – I Feel a Change

“Bradley’s remarkable, against-all-odds rise has been well-documented – how he transcended a bleak life on the streets andstruggled through a series of ill-fitting jobs before finally being discovered by Daptone’s Gabe Roth. Most artists appreciate their audiences, just as many are grateful for them, but few artists love their fans as much and as sincerely as Charles Bradley.”

The world lost a little bit of its magical soul when Charles Bradley passed away last September and in a world that never seems just, it’s a tragedy that he grew into this world fighting and had to leave the same way..

Early November will see the release of the posthumous final album from Charles Bradley which will come out on Dunham Records (Bradley’s Daptone imprint).  Black Velvet features songs from the recording sessions of each of his three albums: No Time for Dreaming (2011), Victim of Love (2013), and Changes (2016).  The record will also feature Bradley’s covers of Nirvana’s Stay Away, Neil Young’s Heart of Gold and Rodriguez’s I’ll Slip Away.

Check out the video below for today’s song and lead single I Feel a Change and pre-order your copy of the album from here.
