On the 9th of next month, Berlin label Habibi Funk are to release Jazz, Jazz, Jazz, an album originally recorded by Sudanese artist Saif Abu Bakr and his band, The Scorpions in Kuwait in 1980. Original copies of this record have sold for 1000$ in the past, so it was great to discover that this is to be reissued!
One of the three tracks available before its release is this heady little funk instrumental entitled, Nile Waves. True to its name this track washes over with a natural feel and effortless flow, lapping gently at the audio shores with tidal beats and a dreamy sax melody.
