The captivating and dreamy musings of LA’s garage rock’n’rollers, the Allah Las first appeared in 2011 with the release of today’s gorgeous track, Catamaran. Capturing the breezy sounds of California, it’s gentle melody caresses the heart-strings, drawing you into a world of melodic yearning; every tender note is both unmistakable and authentic.
In September 2012 the Allah-Las released their self-titled debut LP which was produced by Nick Waterhouse for Innovative Leisure. The album (opening with today’s song) has been perfectly described as “an effortlessly wistful batch of starry-eyed, minor-key beauties that gently ruminate on the usual young-guy subjects: sex, freedom, the ways the former can interfere with the latter and vice versa”.
