SONG OF THE DAY Naked Lights – Mostly Bag

“Surrender yourself into Naked Lights’ dark and intense orbit!”

The Naked Lights formed in 2010 in Oakland, California.  With a (current) line-up consisting of Camaron Stephens, Chris Hash, Christopher Sprague, Josh Lindenfelzer and H.L. Nelly, the band fearlessly fuses shades of post-punk, dub and punk all into one, No Wave-inspired melting pot.

Naked Lights are heavy but not thrashy, punky but not without complex structures; endorsing a very raw, DIY approach all the way.  They are bold, punchy and discernibly dynamic; think Bodega, Karen O and Made In Japan; think of the pursuit of new and expressive boundaries for this is where you’ll always locate Naked Lights.

The band’s 2016 third album, On Nature features today’s frenzied offering.  Released on Oh Sees, John Dwyer’s Castle Face Records,  Mostly Bag is fast, loud and bracing. Consisting brisk frenzied yelps, deep-cutting bass and racing beats, if you want stirring up, this is the perfect wake up call!   Check it out above.
