SONG OF THE DAY Michael Nau – Maralou

Image result for michael nau maralouI always marvel at how my weekly finds sometimes seem to follow their very own theme, it’s never planned and it always just works out that way, but I like how it does that.  Just as with yesterdays little stirring beauty, today’s slice of graceful folksy Americana stills the soul and opens the heart…it’s the perfect end to a long day as I’m sitting here watching the sun sink over the fields out back.

Maralou was the second track to be taken from the Maryland, singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Michael Nau’s debut album Mowing Released on Full Time Hobby in 2016, the record was written whilst on the road and this element really gives this collection of 12 delicately woven tracks a particularly reflective, yearning and wistful feel throughout.  Today’s song is testament to this and as it glides gracefully along it smooths out even the most restless of minds and I am testament to that!  Check it out above and listen to some more Michael Nau on my pages here.
