A big thank you to blackbeltjonz at 1BTN for introducing me of this gem!!! Just under six minutes of showering, howling melodic funk, what a treat this is! A mighty fine instrumental with no need for vocals, the hefty bass does all the talking, offsetting the high pitched tuneful guitar with its low-down, dirty dark tones. What a corker!
Not Enough Room For Storage appears on James Brown’s 31st studio album, Sho Is Funky Down Here. Released in 1971 via King Records, this was James Brown’s last album on the label after having been on it since 1956!! Written by Brown and instrumentalist/arranger David Matthews, this sounds like something Funkadelic would put out with its heavy fuzzed-out guitars and heady psych style…soooo good!! Check it out above.
GOOD LORD! Thanks!
