SONG OF THE DAY Surprise Chef – New Ferrari

<

Bursting with some delectably lush beats and a deliciously cool and cosmic funk melody, New Ferrari is the first single to be taken from Surprise Chef’s forthcoming album, Daylight Savings.

Melbourne’s Instrumental groovers, Surprise Chef, emerged in the Spring of 2019 with their highly acclaimed cinematic soul debut, All News Is Good News.

Their new album was recorded over a weekend in Surprise Chef’s DIY analogue studio (dubbed The College Of Knowledge), and expands on the dramatic 1970’s cinematic soul of there first offering.  Celebrating the changing seasons and the warmer days/nights to come, the record is designed to instil “the optimism and hope that comes with the impending long, warm evenings after a dreary Melbourne winter.”  For us here in the UK their new release will come just in time to see us through a cold winter – and any glimpses of sunshine in the looming onset of autumn will be more than welcomed!

Daylight Savings is to be released on October 16th via Mr Bongo and is available for pre-order / pre-save now. Choose from black vinyl, Indie Edition creamy white coloured vinyl, CD, digital, and special vinyl presses courtesy of our friends at HHV Records and DINKED. – Grab that here!
