SONG OF THE DAY Night Beats – That’s All You Got (feat. Robert Levon Been)

It brings me so much joy and excitement to share today’s offering!! What a cracker!!  I don’t know if anyone else shares my views on the Night Beats most recent album, but I just didn’t get into it as much…but this…..This is like the Night Beats I know and love!

Today, the Seattle soulsters have released a new single and I’m spoilt for choice; both sides are great!!  That’s All You Got is a soulful slice of psychedelic R&B and the product of a collaboration between founding member Danny Lee Blackwell and Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.  No strangers to working together, the bands have played and toured together on multiple occasions, with Levon Been responsible for co-producing and performing on the Night Beats’ 2016 LP Who Sold My Generation.

With a bunch of new material ready to go, this new release is the Night Beats’ first outing since they recently announced their signing to Fuzz Club.  Talking about the single, Blackwell says: “Times like these make it seem like the world is tryna keep you down. We’ll always have corrupt politicians and two faced crooks trying to control our minds, but there are two things that are also eternal in this world: Rhythm and Blues. ‘That’s All You Got’ is a reminder that at the end of the day, we’ll always have the SOUL.”

Thank goodness for music indeed!!!! Check it out above and grab yourself a copy from here.
