SONG OF THE DAY Leo Soto Con Alex Y Su Conjunto – Caballo Psicodelico

Today’s scorching Latin delight was originally released in the late-60’s (1968 I think?) on US label, Falcon Records. Accompanied by Latin-Salsa band, Alex And His Ensemble, Mexican artist Leo Soto backed this belter with A-side, Amercame A Tu Vidawhich happens to be a completely contrasting affair!!

Caballo Psicodelico, translating as “Psychedelic Horse” (which explains the horse action throughout), boasts a lively mix of Latin infusions and flash r&b flavours. It’s like a burst of sunshine with its rays of beaming horns, glistening percussion and sizzling vocals!…and just in case you are looking to precure this rather rare Latin-boogaloo gem, I must warn you now, you’d better be prepared to part with £500+ for an original!!  Check it out above.
