SONG OF THE DAY Mel Torme – Walk Like A Dragon

R-18870268-1621899270-2825.jpegNot only did the great Mel Tormé write the title track to the 1960 classic Western film, Walk Like a Dragon, he also starred in the film (playing the part of the Deacon!!).

Born in Chicago in 1925 and nicknamed The Velvet Fog, the jazz singer, composer, arranger, pianist, drummer, actor and author enjoyed an impressive music career that spanned over 60 years! In that time he released a multitude of 45’s and albums, including today’s absolute stunner!

Released on Verve Records in 1960, Walk Like a Dragon prowls with the elegance of a panther, breathes the fire of a beast and ensnares with the serpentine allure of snake…It’s quite intoxicating and slinky!

Check it out above.
