Sydney duo Mansionair hit the ground running last year when they released their debut EP via Chvrches’ label Goodbye Records. Signed to the label that same year, ‘Hold Me Down’ was their first 5-song release which saw title track, ‘Hold Me Down’ grab the attention of the world as it soared to number 1 on Hype Machine almost immediately after its release.
Their sound is a swirling, dreamy amalgamation of styles which draw upon a wealth of influences, the result is rather unique and yet completely accessible. Where light melodic guitars meet with deep bass driving rhythms, this is where you will find Mansionair but they do not stop there, dynamically pleasing their sound pushes at the boundaries of experimentation, exploring the realms of electronica along the way, that and pretty much anything else they can combine into their eclectic sound.
