SONG OF THE DAY The Famen – Don’t Want Nobody

PrimaryWith only a handful of 45’s to their name, The Famen were one of those garage rock wonders that came and went in a relative blink – though at least they issued four singles (including, (If You Want Me,  Crackin’ Up (Bo Diddley cover), Time is slipping away, Hurry ) before they vanished into obscurity.

Hailing from Atlanta, GA in the mid-1960’s, this band released their psychedelic sounds on labels such as World Wide Records, Delta Records and X-Poze. Possibly one of the darker sounding tracks, Don’t Want Nobody was the last single they released in 1967.

Featuring on the B-side is a song called Sixteen Wheels and I can’t even find a copy of the record anywhere, let a recording online! How good would it be to find this absolute rarity!!! I’d love to  hear what Sixteen Wheels sounds like, so if anybody can help with this, you know what to do! Enjoy!
