There Was A Star appeared on the groups 1962 record, The Twenty-Fifth Day Of December. Featuring 12 simple-yet-striking arrangements of various holiday classics, the album was recorded at Universal Studios in Chicago. Appearing on the record, the lineup consists of, Pops, Mavis, Yvonne, and Pervis Staples on vocals, with Pops doubling on his trademark reverb-drenched guitar alongside Maceo Woods on organ and Al Duncan on drums.

What could be a more perfect offering on this Christmas Eve?
