SONG OF THE DAY The Birthday Party – Wild World

This superb and deeply dark track was written by Nick Cave and Mick Harvey in 1982 and appeared The Birthday Party’s 1983 EP, ‘The Bad Seed.’

This EP was to be one of their last studio recordings with all songs co-written by Cave and Harvey and it has been said by some that ‘The Bad Seed’ “forecasts the imminent future of Cave as a solo artist and Harvey as his right-hand man in more than just title”.  One thing’s for certain, Nick Cave and Mick Harvey did go on to have a flourishing future in their next project and today’s track ‘Wild World’ is nothing but a real treat to the ears…Listen above.
