SONG OF THE DAY Peter Thomas – Evening Air

PrimaryI’m finding the sedate style of today’s song rather soothing as I watch the very last drop of golden red sink into the horizon and I kiss goodbye to the sunshine.

Aptly titled Evening Air, the cool melody boasts a rather heady,  sensory as it gently flickers in and out, at times sounding like gentle raindrops. Wholly laid back and residing on a plain where smooth is the key, Evening Air really does feel like the world is winding down around you. It’s wistful charm is perfect for this evening!

Issued in 1975 (I believe), this sophisticated serenade was created by a German composer and arranger called Peter Thomas. With a style that drifted into the realms of easy listing, lounge and electronic space-age, this varied musician spent musical career writing film scores, soundtracks and compositions for TV series.

Evening Air is one of his many fine creations, which appeared o LP called Sound Music Album 7.  Released in 1975 via a German library label called Golden Ring Records, you can check this out above and if you fancy reading more about this artist, you can do so on this Peter Thomas biography page I have just found, here. Enjoy!
