“Music is my religion and can heal all wounds…. Enjoy these sounds and share them with the ones you love.” King Khan
Well King Khan, I can certainly relate to your statement and will be more than happy to share your psychedelic soul, rock and roll, voodoo-garage sound to the masses!
Arish Ahmad Khan, aka King Khan, is a Canadian-born and now Germany-based musician best known as the frontman of rock’n’roll bands King Khan and the Shrines and The King Khan BBQ Show. His musical career kicked off sometime around 1996 and ever since then he has performed in various bands, collaborating with the likes of GZA whilst becoming well-known for his on-stage antics and flamboyant and exotic costumes.
If you like what you have heard and, like me, are unfamiliar with King Khan’s material, I strongly recommend you check out his ‘Khannabilalism’ page on Bandcamp, which features all music produced from his Moon Studios in Berlin, Germany.
Today’s song is titled ‘That Boy Is Mine’ and features UK artist Kitty Durham who compliments this curious, swamp-blues track perfectly, its devilishly delightful! Released on October 13 2015, this track is now available to buy for €1 from here. Listen above.
