SONG OF THE DAY Little Barrie – Stop or Die

Little Barrie are a London-based trio who emerged from Nottingham in 1999 before relocating to London in 2000.  The current line up consists of Barrie Cadogan (vocals, guitar – & session guitarist in Primal Scream in 2006), Lewis Wharton (bass, vocals) and Virgil Howe (drums, vocals), and their sound draws upon a superb blend of garage rock, blues, funk and rock and roll.

In May 2014 the band released their forth album ‘Shadow’ which was produced by their long-time collaborators Edwyn Collins and Seb Lewsley, this is where today’s song can be found.  Titled ‘Stop or Die’ the track is an unfurling, sultry fusion of garage rock and laid back blues.  Listen above.

Earlier this year Little Barrie wrote the theme to the hit TV prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul.  It was never made into a full length track despite requests and continued as a 30 second intro. Check out the live clip here
